These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CEC Publisher desktop application and related website. By using CEC Publisher, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service operator and contact
CEC Publisher is an independent creator-publishing tool associated with the Curioso en Corto brand. Questions about these Terms may be sent to cecpublisher.support@gmail.com.
2. Service description
CEC Publisher helps creators and social media managers connect authorized accounts, review media and provider-supported settings, explicitly approve publishing actions, and read processing status through supported third-party APIs. Current TikTok functionality includes Login Kit, Direct Post, and Upload to TikTok draft/inbox flows.
3. Eligibility and authorized accounts
You may use CEC Publisher only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms and are permitted to use the connected platform. You may connect only accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for maintaining lawful authority to access and publish to every connected account.
4. Account authorization and credentials
Connected platforms use their own authorization mechanisms. You must not provide another person's credentials or circumvent platform access controls. CEC Publisher does not require you to provide a TikTok password directly to CEC Publisher.
5. User control and publishing approval
You are responsible for reviewing the destination account, selected media, caption/title, privacy level, audience and interaction settings before approving a publishing action. A content write should be initiated only when you intend the selected content to be sent to the connected platform.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you own. By selecting content for processing, you grant CEC Publisher only the limited permission necessary to read, prepare, transfer, and process that content for the publishing action you requested and for related troubleshooting. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to publish the content and metadata you submit.
7. Third-party platforms
TikTok and other connected platforms are independent third parties. Your use of them remains subject to their own terms, community guidelines, developer restrictions, privacy policies, and technical limits. CEC Publisher cannot guarantee that a third party will accept, publish, display, retain, or monetize any content.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use CEC Publisher to:
- access or publish to an account without authorization;
- infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights;
- publish unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, or prohibited content;
- evade platform rate limits, safety controls, review requirements, or access restrictions;
- introduce malware, interfere with the service, probe credentials, or attempt unauthorized access;
- misrepresent CEC Publisher as being operated, sponsored, or endorsed by TikTok or another third party.
9. Operational safeguards
CEC Publisher may stop an operation when a remote write has an unknown or ambiguous result rather than automatically repeating the write. Read-only status checks may be used to determine the result. These safeguards do not guarantee that duplicate or unexpected platform behavior can never occur.
10. Availability, changes, and third-party API changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or changes to third-party APIs. Third-party platforms may change scopes, endpoints, review requirements, quotas, features, or availability without our control.
11. Security responsibilities
You are responsible for securing the Windows account and device on which you use CEC Publisher and for protecting any local files, credentials, exports, or evidence. Do not share access tokens, refresh tokens, or other secrets.
12. Intellectual property
CEC Publisher's software, site design, branding, documentation, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of CEC Publisher materials to you. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using CEC Publisher at any time and revoke connected-platform authorization through the platform's account settings. We may restrict access, support, or distribution where reasonably necessary to address security risks, abuse, unlawful use, policy violations, or legal requirements.
14. Disclaimers
CEC Publisher is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free third-party APIs, specific reach, views, engagement, approval, publication, monetization, or business results. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CEC Publisher and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of the service or from third-party platform actions. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited.
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or costs resulting from your unlawful use of CEC Publisher, content you did not have the right to publish, or your material violation of these Terms. This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
17. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without limiting mandatory consumer or privacy rights that may apply to you. Before starting formal proceedings, you are encouraged to contact cecpublisher.support@gmail.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the product, legal requirements, or connected services change. The current version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
19. Entire agreement and severability
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific notices, form the agreement governing your use of CEC Publisher. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
